Delete your Ember account

Ember is operated by Graylight, LLC ("Graylight," "we," "us," or "our"). You can delete your Ember account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it — both from inside the app and, if you can no longer sign in or have uninstalled the app, by email.

01Delete your account in the app
If you can still sign in, this is the fastest way to delete your account:
- 1Open the Ember app.
- 2Go to Profile.
- 3Open Preferences.
- 4Tap Delete Account.
- 5Confirm when prompted.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and no waiting window — once you confirm, your account is removed right away.
02Can't access the app or uninstalled it?
You do not need the app to delete your account. If you have uninstalled Ember or can no longer sign in, email us and we will process the deletion for you:
- Send an email to privacy@emberhq.app requesting that your account be deleted.
- Send it from the email address on your account so we can verify the request.
Our team processes these requests manually and will confirm once your account has been deleted.
03What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:
- Your login: your sign-in is permanently removed and you will not be able to sign in again
- Your personal information: your name, email address, phone number, and profile photo are erased
- Your uploaded photos and files: photos and files you uploaded are deleted
04What is retained, and why
Content you contributed to shared hunting groups — such as map markers, harvest records, and sighting records — remains after your account is deleted, so the group's shared history stays intact for the other members who rely on it.
This retained content is no longer attributed to your name— it appears as "Deleted User" once your account is removed.
05This cannot be undone
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered and you will need to create a new account to use Ember again.
