Wind finally swung NW this morning — first mature buck on the trail cam all season. Anybody else seeing movement pick up with this cold front?
Keep your maps.
Add your team.
onX is great at maps and land. Ember runs everything around the hunt — your club, your stands, your check-ins, your people. Bring what you’ve already built. We’ll do the rest.
We’re not asking you to switch maps.
If onX is where you keep your parcels and boundaries, keep it — that’s not what Ember is for. Ember is the layer onX doesn’t have: who’s hunting where, who’s checked in, who made it back, and everything your club needs to run without a 40-message group text.
- Parcels, property lines, and boundaries
- Base maps and satellite imagery
- The pins and areas you’ve already drawn
- Stand assignments — no two hunters on the same sit
- Safety check-ins the whole club can see
- Members, seats, dues, and harvest logs in one place
Use both. Most of our members do.
Bring what you’ve already got.
Switching tools usually means re-drawing every stand and pin by hand. Not here — nobody starts from zero. What you’ve built comes with you.
Pull your spots out
Export your marked locations, stands, and boundaries from onX — or any app that exports them.
GPXKMLReview every pin
Waypoints become markers, areas become zones — and you tag and confirm each one, so nothing lands by surprise.
Set up in an evening
Stand your club up in a night, not a weekend, with your ground already on the map.
Try Ember your way.
One season. One flat price.
Not a subscription. Not auto-renew. One price for the whole season — then you decide for yourself.
- Cheaper than a case of shells.
- No card-on-file surprise in the offseason.
- Not for you? It just ends.
Buy seats once. Cover the crew.
You set it up, we assign the seats — no chasing members to each pay separately.
- Admin buys once — members just get in.
- Seats assign automatically. No codes, no per-person checkout.
What you actually get.
The four things Ember runs around the hunt — the layer that sits on top of the map you already keep.
Stand & spot coordination
FreeWho’s sitting where, called before anyone leaves the truck — no two hunters walking into the same stand, no surprises at first light.
Safety check-ins
FreeEveryone checks in when they’re out and again when they’re back. The club can see who’s still in the woods after dark — before it’s a problem.
Club management
FreeMembers, roles, seats, stand reservations, dues, and harvest logs — the whole operation, without the spreadsheet or the 40-message group text.
The Breakdown
ProThe depth layer when a pin isn’t enough: every stand scored on wind, terrain, pressure, and history — and taught the why, not just a number.

Ember alongside onX
Do I have to stop using onX?
No. Keep onX for your maps, parcels, and boundaries — that’s what it’s good at, and Ember doesn’t replace it. Ember runs everything around the hunt: your club, your stands, your check-ins, and your people. Most of our members use both.
How do I get my onX spots into Ember?
Export a KML or GPX from onX Hunt, open it in Ember, and review each pin before anything is saved — waypoints become markers and areas become zones. It works with any app that exports GPX or KML, not just onX. Our switching guide walks through exactly what carries over and what doesn’t.
Does Ember have its own maps too?
Yes — Pro includes property, parcel, and LiDAR layers. But if onX is where you keep your ground, you don’t have to move it. Bring the spots you want, keep the rest in onX, and let Ember handle the team.
What does it cost to try a season?
A one-time Season Pass is $49.99 — the whole app for the whole season, and it does not auto-renew. Running a club? One plan the admin buys covers the whole crew (5, 15, or 30 members, from $199.99 a year). Every hunter starts with a free 14-day trial and no card, then keeps a real Free plan.
